Jackie & Mike – San Juan Capistrano Portrait Photography

Playing down in San Juan Capistrano can always be fun. But it can be even more exciting when you accidentally walk into someone’s back yard. Whoops! Ok so down the way you will find the pictures of a barn. We were just strolling and thought we walked into a parking lot with a barn near the back. Stuff like this was all over. Apparently the guy had his side gate open and he does private vehicle repair there. We didn’t know we walked into his property, I swear! So we got like 5 shots off when he comes out of his house screaming at us in a foreign language. Sorry sir.

It was cool though. We laughed and promised not to visit there on the wedding day.

Thanks Jackie and Mike.

A Day In the Life of the Roa Family – Riverside Family Photography

Little kids are fun. But when Dana told me her littlest one was tough to take pictures of I was curious what I was up against. Well yes she was hard. I felt I had to play sniper at first. Then all of a sudden at the end of the shoot I told her I would let her lead and I would take her picture wherever and however she wanted. We had created a diva as she drug me around the area. She let me take some really sweet pictures. She even let the rest of the family be a part of her diva session.:-)

Thanks Roa Family Enjoy

Daniel, Our Pictures are just amazing. Sniff Sniff Tear Tear… You brought out the best in all of us. These pictures are just soooo us, not those horrible posed studio pics. We had so much fun and made a wonderful memory of our outing. I just cant say enough about how much we appreciate what you did for us and making us all look sooooo beautiful. You have a wonderful gift. You made a Diva out of Mason, the picture hater! Kudos! I have been showing off my pictures to everyone from here to Tennesee!! You Rock!! XOXOX Dana

Krystal & Brian…. and a few of my own thoughts

Rock on! When I first met Brian and Krystal I wasn’t sure how it would go. A good friend of mine and fellow photographer, Brent Calhoun, asked me to help him out by becoming the lead photographer, something had come up.

Random thought interjection for fellow photographers:

You should always have a fellow photographer you can depend on if you’re in a pinch. Unforeseen events happen (a death in the family, you get terribly ill, your equipment gets stolen) and you have this day committed to your client. Photography business owners don’t get sick days. I’ve shot 2 weddings when I was terribly terribly sick. Maybe some of my most creative stuff ’cause it forced me to slow down and just get a few shots. Some really good shots. I found out later that one of my brides was sick too. We laughed about it and are happy that the day was still a hit. So – have a back up plan/person.

Back to my story….   I was about to meet a soon-to-be bride and groom and we could potentially not click. Brent had done the work of gaining Krystal and Brian’s trust and the last thing I wanted to do was to lose it.   We spent some time just chilling over coffee and getting to know each other. Well, we totally clicked!  Krystal was so cute with her bridal book filled with all her ideas, papers sprawled out every which way (I completely recommend having one). I myself, being a guy, never had one but the brides who have their “stuff” together seem to have their thoughts together and their wedding days go smoother.  Brian and I talked about his killer tattoo sleeve. Good times.

Two weeks ago we got to hang out again. They invited me to the west side of Riverside. I didn’t know how it would go but God blessed us with some pretty amazing light. Enjoy!!

Leo & Lauren – Benedict’s Castle Riverside Wedding Photography

Leo and Lauren are two amazing and giving individuals. In fact as I write this they are in Honduras serving as missionaries. Wow!!! Talk about starting the marriage off face-to-face in a world where you are totally giving your life to God thru service. How amazing they are!!! Luckily for them they have internet and I’m excited to make this post.

Take care Lelu (Leo & Lauren’s nick name). Enjoy the pictures and can’t wait to see you soon.
Also the fabulous Kristin Wild was on hand to shoot with me. Take a look at her site if you ever get a chance.

Chris & Michelle Adams – Lake Oak Meadows Temecula Wedding Photography

I warned him. I told him he was gonna cry cause she was so beautiful. He didn’t believe he would crack. The pictures below don’t lie. It was so sweet. I find it utterly beautiful when a groom just lets his emotions out. Especialy when he is a hardcore firefighter.

Thanks Chris and Michelle for having us photograph your wedding. It was a blast, not that I ever doubted. We got some stunning images that will be priceless.

I will have you know that I woke Chris up at 4:30 this morning so we could look at the pictures together and we both cried … again. :-) The pictures are absolutely amazing and we are thrilled. You truly have a gift and we are so thankful that we put the hefty job of capturing this important day in our life in your capable hands.

I can't wait to put them all in a beautiful album…

Thank you,
